A Small-Business Web Site for RINK Consulting

Linda Rink Web SiteWhen this Philadelphia-based small business was starting up, they needed an online presence to tell the story of their products and services. They turned to us to create a clean and uncomplicated site to promote their business.

We worked with them to incorporate their logo and corporate colors, and a layout that met their needs. We also provided custom photography and editorial services. The copy was fine-tuned from their content to assure it was written with Web readers in mind.

The result was a site delivered on time and on budget that meets the needs of the customer.

A Lead-Generator Concept Web Site for AIL

AIL WebProgressive Partners, affilicated with American Income Life, allows the insurance company to reach out to the progressive community with special offers for discounts that can help them grow their memberships.

The DC office is working with their corporate headquarters to prepare a specialty Web site to generate leads and bring in more business targetted at the Progressive Partner market.

We worked with client to create a concept site to achieve their program goals. We created a site that helped brand the campaign, using both stock photography and existing company photographs. We consulted on a navigation and layout that would provide a strong scent for the information to drive users toward the desired end: a new customer for AIL.

Finally, we provided editorial services to repurpose their content to be read online. The concept site was embraced by the program office and is currently under review at HQ.

An Event Web Site for Winning Margins PAC

Winning Margins PAC siteWith a network of DC-based Democratic activists as the steering committee, the Winning Margins PAC was dedicated to the idea that in politics, participation counts and a little effort can pay big dividends.

The low-dollar events provided PAC member/contributors an opportunity to be engaged in politics and pool their resources and keep the U.S. Senate in Democratic hands.

Open for the 2002 and 2004 election cycles, the PAC embraced a "low donor" philosophy of affordable fundraisers and became one of the largest ideological PACs giving to Democratic candidates. With a volunteer board and minimal overhead, as measured by "donations to candidates as a percentage of contributions", it was one of the best. The total raised was nearly $170,000.

We worked as the PAC's Webmaster managing all these activities, as well as the design and content of the site. The Web site served as the communications hub for both outreach and operations. It was one of the earliest success stories of leveraging the on-line/off-line power of the Web. A back-end system collected RSVPs and volunteers, while the front page and email campaigns spread the word about events and activities.

Branding Refresh at Politemps + CapitolWorks

Politemps LogoWhen this staffing agency was looking to update its look with it's branding, they called on Emerald Strategies, Inc. to provide the graphic design and production work.

For each project, we began with a discussion to understand the essence of their position in the marketplace and how they wanted to be perceived by their customers.

We began with the logo and used our professional experience in selecting powerful and distinctive color palettes and appropriate fonts to give their logo and materials the punch they needed. Once the logo was set, we produced a business package consisting of letterhead, envelopes, labels and business cards.

CapitolWorksAfter this foundation work was complete, it was time for a brochure. The CapitolWorks brochure uses the dome to unify and pull together the design. It tells the story of their business to prospective clients. We also provided copywriting skills to describe their products and services with a message that motivates the buyer.

With the design work done, we made recommendations on the paper selection that would be appropriate for their company. Finally, we worked with a printer broker to secure a good price and performed a blue-line and color proof check to assure quality before printing and delivery.

Ethnic Outreach Posters for the DNC

DNC Irish PosterOver two election cycles we worked with the Democratic National Committee to create a series of posters to promote the Democratic party with ethnic communities.

The custom photography featured real people representing a diverse range of Democratic voters in the United States, including Irish-Americans, Polish-Americans, Arab-Americans, Italian-Americans, Greek-Americans, as well as the Armenian, Hungarian and Lithuanian and Serbian American communities.

The message on each poster was tailored to tie in the national election theme with the party's policy on issues important to these constituencies.
